You can find your most recent statements in the Finch app:
- Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner
- Tap Statements
Depending on account activity, you’ll have access to your last:
- Bank Statement
- Investment Statement
- Trade Confirm
- Tax Document
You can download or share these documents by tapping the Share icon on the bottom left corner of your screen.
💡Your bank statement might not reflect everything you see in the Finch app - investment returns and dividends are reflected in your investment statement.
Trade Confirms
"Trade Confirm" emails are simply our way of letting you know that we completed an investment trade.
This happens when you deposit money into your account, withdraw cash at an ATM, or spend money using your debit card - anything that creates either a purchase or sale of investments.
We’re legally required to send Trade Confirms to you, and we’re working on building a space within our app where you'll be able to access these instead.
In the interim, we recommend setting up an inbox rule to file these away. You can find instructions on how to set it up below.
Gmail
You can use Gmail filters to automatically route Trade Confirms to a specific label and spare your inbox.
-
Check the checkbox next to the Trade Confirm Email.
-
Click the More
icon.
-
Click Filter messages like these.
-
Enter your filter criteria.
-
Click Create filter.
- Select from the options, e.g. Skip the inbox (Archive it) and Apply the label.
- To use the rule right away, make sure you check the last box: Also apply filter to XX matching conversations, and click Create filter.
Outlook
You can use Outlook rules to automatically route Trade Confirms to a specific folder and spare your inbox.
-
Right-click a Trade Confirm e-mail.
-
Click Rules.
-
Click Create Rule.
-
Select a 'condition', and what to do with Trade Confirms.
For example, to move messages with the title 'Your Finch Trade Confirm is now ready!' to a specific folder, select the Subject contains and copy/paste the title, select Move the item to folder, select or create a New folder.
-
Click OK.
-
To use the rule right away, click the Run this new rule now on messages already in the current folder checkbox, and then click OK.
Hope that helps! 🤞
